We developed the brand identity that included designing brochures in Hindi, English and Kannada apart from an outdoor print campaign, radio scripts and theatre plays on sustainable harvesting. Further, we worked on a comprehensive documentary on interventions in forest conservation and create posters and marketing material to increase program outreach among the stakeholders.

Tigr2ess is an Indo-UK interdisciplinary research implementation program partnership that works on nutrition, gender equality, climate resilience and plant science to ensure food security. Vertiver developed the brand identity, conducted a program-partners workshop and applied design-based engagement approaches to map program activities to generate impact. The program has been a result of a collaboration between Cambridge University and Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The Nobel Prize Series is an event organised under India’s Ministry of Science and Technology. Vertiver worked with DBT on providing design and logistics support to bring together, nobel laureates, philanthropists and academicians. The key idea of the event is to facilitate a dialogue that leads to research development and science innovation in India.
Vertiver worked closely with the Department of Science and Technology under India’s Ministry of Science and Technology to develop a design and dissemination platform for FarmerZone, a cloud-based service for smallholder farmers. FarmerZone was announced at an international consultation for which Vertiver served as the event partner.
IEMAC (Innovations in Ecosystem Management and Conservation) is a USAID program on forest conservation in India.
We at Vertiver offer designing and curation of events as part of our full suite of dissemination approaches for sustainability where we handle aspects related to organising high-level dialogues between policy-makers, researchers and communities. We handle everything from designing the agenda, writing the background note, designing collaterals and managing logistics and travel for all attendees. Event management in sustainability requires a level of attention and technical planning, that we have mastered through our work with DFID and DBT.
Dissemination holds the key to sustainability, for without uptake into policy, business or behavior change, most communication efforts fail to make an impact. Our experience in working with Public-Private Partnerships on forestry, holding events and consultations with policy makers and scientists from around the world, developing radio, theatre plays and films enable us to bring a very comprehensive engagement platform to our partners. Only by offering engagement on various platforms are we able to close the full cycle of sustainability that we offer to our clients.
We have written and developed radio jingles and scripts for recorded shows and have also developed TV spots for clients. We have our own in-house film and editing studio.
We love to create rich stories imbued with metaphor and authenticity. We’re not sure whether “viral” campaigns that get millions of likes actually move people to action or not so; all we try and do is to create posts that we hope will create inspiration and knowledge for the viewers.
Good content and design must have deep roots in research. When we develop strategies for engaging and outreach, we often conduct research with stakeholders to ensure that we understand what motivates behavior change at the last mile. We have worked with communities in Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim and Assam to assess awareness levels on various aspects of sustainability. We also conduct surveys to compliment our reserach work.
Film-making is simply an extension of our suite of storytelling tools. We love film as a platform as there is nothing more exciting than communicating ideas in conservation and climate action through film. We love creating narratives that transcend time and space. Our film on Climate Financing for which we did the animation and script writing was showcased at COP2017. We are foraying into Virtual Reality Filming now and our platform India Virtual Reality showcases some of our early experiments with storytelling through VR films. Check out our work on Vimeo link.
Stakeholder buy-in is where the buck stops in sustainability. Our team is proficient in leading stakeholders through an immersive and interactive process of problem identification and solutions identification using tools of design thinking. Our design-based workshops make people (whether at the community level or in the board-room) part of the solution process.
