COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus – SARS-CoV-2. A person can be infected by breathing in the virus if they are in close proximity of someone who has the disease, or by touching a contaminated surface and then their eyes, nose or mouth. The majority of people infected with the virus will experience only mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without needing any treatment or interventions. However, older people, or those with underlying medical conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.

We believe that one of the best ways to prevent and slow down transmission of COVID-19 is to be well informed about the disease. This portal is an attempt to bring together some of the best awareness and information resources onto a single platform. In addition to creating interactive and easy to use manuals, guidelines and tutorials, we have also translated information from around the world into multiple Indian languages to expand their reach.
